Portland Oregon Temple In the temple we are taught, we make covenants, and we are promised blessings. We receive ordinances that enable us to live in the presence of God.One ordinance we receive in the temple is the endowment. The word endowment means “gift” or “bestowal.” As part of this ordinance, we are taught about the purpose of life, the mission and Atonement of Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father’s plan for His children. We gain a glimpse of what it will be like to live in His presence as we feel the peaceful atmosphere of the temple. ![]() | |

All the family that was in attendance waited in a small group right in front of the entrance into the Celestial room. Robin and I were the first to greet Lauren. We were so happy for her. Stake and Ward members, as well as friends, were waiting in a big semi-circle in the celestial room to receive Lauren after the endowment session. Lauren was able to thank everyone who came, with a big smile and hug. Lauren was making a lot of personal growth before she attended the temple, after receiving her endowment though, she has been growing by leaps and bounds. |
Called to serve as a missionary in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission (Spanish speaking) for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
