I Do Not Have Whooping Cough... Faith Mom

HELLOOOOO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!

The MTC is still an emotional rollercoaster, still awesome, and still getting apostles. Elder Bednar came and spoke to us yesterday, it was amazing!!! Sheri Dew... no idea how to spell her name, came and spoke to us last Tuesday. I have heard stuff about her, but this was the first time I have heard her speak. Devotionals are amazing here!!!

ArgGGHH, this looming red timer is going to be the death of me. (They only have 30 minutes a week to e-mail. They must have a red timer that lets them know when they will be logged off the computer). Eh...what else...I got caramel in my hair the other day, which was great fun. I was trying to suck all the caramel out of it while sister Dew was speaking to us, then I realized it was on my dress too.... so yeah... obviously I haven't grown up all that much yet. I’m still wearing my food after some meals.

We have started teaching in Spanish, which has been great for us. My companions memorize really well and seem to be picking up the vocabulary really well. I can understand a ton of what I hear, but I am still working on building up my vocabulary and grammar skills. Thankfully, I am doing what's necessary to have and teach with the spirit during the lessons, which is the most important thing. I love it here.

I am so very grateful for the chance I have to serve the Lord. I see so much growth in myself as well as those around me on a daily basis. I can feel the refining process... its great! This is the restored church of Jesus Christ. It contains the fullness of the truths that can and will lead us to salvation if we follow the direction we have been given.

I do not have whooping cough... faith mom... I am taking care of myself. Don't worry about it. (Well...what does she expect when she says this in her last letter, "I hear that whooping cough is at the MTC... maybe that's what I’m getting!!! No, but really…I think its just allergies.").

P.S. Mom! I am trying to be a lady! Every time I find myself slouched over I remind myself to "be refined." (YES!!!) I am not doing it as begrudgingly as I use to either! Thanks for being such an awesome mom! I didn't get the dearelder letter yet, that you said you sent me today. On Wednesdays we don't get the dearelder.com letters until after we email.

I'm doing great!!! The MTC is awesome. I’m proud of you, great job finishing those merit badge things!  I hope the dates you went on were fun, good for you for getting out there and taking girls on real dates! I am proud of you, good luck on your driving test!
