Hey Everyone!
We met Paco and Monica this week. We were trying to visit a less active member who ended up not being home, so we decided to start tracting a little. Paco answered and quickly invited us in, which threw us off, but it was great. The member that came with us thought that Paco was already a member, but he wasn't. We talked about the Restoration and apostasy, which he and his wife seemed to like. We’re excited to continue getting to know them as well as teach them the gospel. They’re great people.
I started reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish this week in chronological order, which has been awesome. Ether chapter 2 talks a lot about how this land is a promised land, and those who live here must serve God or perish. It was good for me to think about all the blessings we have been promised as well as what we must do in order to receive those blessings. I also started reading about Paul’s ministry in English. In 1 Thessalonians Paul is talking with the converts he had taught the gospel to. He is SO loving with them, which has helped me want to read more about what an amazing missionary he was.
Hermana Jardine has helped me a ton with studying! She's such a strength to me, we are so, so, so similar in many ways. She's overcome several of the things I struggle with. It's been a huge blessing.

Highlights from this week:
Last Thursday Sister Jardine woke up around 4:00am in the morning with SUPER bad stabbing pain in her stomach. We ended up taking her to the emergency room. She’s had problems with ovarian cysts before, but she said that the pain has never been that bad. The hospital did an ultrasound after the Elders gave her a blessing. In the blessing she was promised that she would be completely healed. It was a powerful blessing. We still aren’t sure exactly what it was that caused the pain, but we are assuming it was another ovarian cyst that ruptured. Because Sister Jardine has been recovering, I have had more studying and cleaning time. I was able to paint a wall, organize our spice cabinet, my desk, and our trunk supply boxes. I mapped out the genealogy from Terah to the 12 tribes. I studied the tribe of Ephraim and several other things. I also set some goals. It’ll be nice to start visiting people again now that Hermana Jardine feels well enough. The Branch is great, they really are like our family. Several people called to see how she was doing, and our relief society president brought us over some food.
Other things I’ve learned this week:
Other things I’ve learned this week:
Build on Strong gospel foundations. Take one day at a time, don't over do it. Take one principle, focus on it, and learn it solid. Don't get discouraged by perceived failures, acknowledge them and draw strength from how much better you've done today, then keep building upon your progress. The only person we truly can, and ever should compare ourselves to, is our past self. We are climbing a ladder from our past self to the Savior. If we aren't able to climb up a rung today and we're only able to lift our leg, that's progress. Progress is great no matter how small. I love you all so much, have an amazing week!

Lexie's Questions!~
The hardest part of the mission so far has been being patient with myself and recognizing the progress I am making. My companion is awesome though, she is super positive. It's been great to actually think about what areas I’m doing good in, it makes it so much easier to keep trying to improve in the areas I feel I need to.
Candy is still out of town as far as we know. We’ve tried calling her, but she still hasn’t called us back. We’re excited to get a hold of her and see how her vacation and everything else has been.
We get fed all the time, honestly we drop by to visit any member and they want to feed us, they are awesome, such great people. Christmas was wonderful. We ate with a few families and just had a great day.
Transfers are coming up next week I think, hopefully we’ll be here for awhile! Ha! Do we have companionship inventory on Sundays. Okay, yes and no. Basically we do companion inventory 24/7, it's amazing. We NEVER have problems because we talk too much and we are always trying to help each other out. I’m not lying either. This companionship has taught me so much about how relationships should be.
