The Importance Of Member Involvement In Missionary Work

FAMILY!!!!~
Whew! I read everyone's email except daddy's. I'm printing it out so I can read it this week. I feel so blessed to have such an awesome family that is so supportive and writes me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY AND HAPPY FATHERS DAY DADDY!!!!

Like every week, I have so much to tell you, and I don't know where to start. Paul's baptism has been moved again to the 2nd week of July. We are really working to strengthen the family and help them see the importance of church in their lives. We made the mistake starting out, of just teaching Paul when we should have been teaching and strengthening him as well as his whole family. I have a feeling that's why he's baptism is going to be delayed so much. We have seen some definite progress and are very happy for them. We pray that they will continue to do what's necessary to strengthen their home and testimonies.

LOVE this ward. I've met and become so close to so many of this members its been awesome. We had a zone conference about the importance of member involvement in our work and we have really been trying hard to have them come to more visits with us.

In other news. A woman and her boyfriend George came to church on Sunday with the kids which was awesome!!! This woman and her family were baptized a few years ago, but have been less active and her boyfriend is investigating the church which is really exciting.

Alexis and Michael~
Lex and Michael, you rock. (Wow, I think that this is the first time Lauren has called Michael, her new brother-in-law, by his first name. She usually calls him “Blackfoot”. I think she has finally forgiven him for marrying her best friend/sister.) That's sweet that you have so much fun with the kids. For the record Lex you crack me up...come on...let's be real. Have I ever been passive aggressive? Don't answer that, but really...I spaced sending last weeks email to everyone but mom. It's not because you didn't write to me last week. Don't worry, I STILL LOVE YOU!!!

Bren!~
Congrats with the scripture mastery award and the organ button responsibility. That sounds... fuuuuuuun! Funny that people still thought you were the one playing the organ.

Krys!!!~
That rocks about running the logging road! You're a beast! YEAH GIRL!!! We totally will run the logging road together when I get home. I’ve got to get rid of the year and a half grease build up that I’ll have acquired.

Canby 1st and 2nd Ward~
I was sad to hear about the death of Linda Entze and Bob Reynolds this week. Their families are definitely in my prayers. I love the Reynolds family and I am so grateful for their awesome examples of love, fun, and charity to us.

Brandon Langford~
YAY BRANDON!!! Way to go serving faithfully for 2 years, you rock! I'm excited for the day when the whole possee can get together and tell stories of what's happened to us over the last three or so years.

Family~
Sorry my emails are always so brief. I’ll publish my journal when I get home. It has a lot more details in it. In conclusion, I want to invite all of you to bare your testimonies this week. It WILL strengthen yours. This is the church of Jesus Christ. We do have a living prophet who leads and guides us under his direction.

Love,
Hermana Perez
PS I wrote Elder Kimber back and told him to bug Krys and Bren for referrals and to take Brenden out on missionary splits. I don't know if he'll still be in the area, but regardless help your friends get salvation by introducing them to the missionaries!!!! Ha...sounds like a super cheesy Mormon ad. Yeah...
