ESTRELLA WAS BAPTIZED!!

Hey family!

This week has been amazing!!! Estrella was baptized yesterday and it was a beautiful baptismal service! The stake president counted and there were over 70 people crammed in the relief society room. The Elders were so great and filled up the font for us... our little bros. Don't worry, Bren your still my favorite brother! Our ward mission leader was so nervous, it was sweet. It's awesome to see the incredible growth of the branch. They have become so much more unified. They honestly are like my family here. Bianca, Estrella's sister (who is so, so, SO close to getting baptized) had a little bit of time to talk and she told Estrella how incredibly proud she was of her and how excited she is for the whole family to get baptized. I love their family so much. Estrella is probably going to end up going to BYU with us which will be awesome.

Jenny Rockwood and her family have been so, so sweet to us. They are letting us do our laundry at their home on our P-days. She was in the same ward as Aunt Cynthia in Kalispell, Montana! Such a small world! We played Pretty Pretty Princess and Battle Ship with Jake and Emmy who are 7 years old and 3 years old.

Satan has been working SO hard on us. It's weird, as we've been doing so many things right I've realized how much Satan hates good. He wants us to feel anything but hope, so he will try to distract us with ANYTHING! It’s crazy.

I'm starting to understand how difficult your job is. Sin is so sad. We have met so many people who are so weighed down by poor choices. Estrella's cousin was killed last Saturday by the worst gang en El Salvador. It’s been really hard on the family. He had been involved in drugs and owed them money. He was found among 25 other bodies of young men around his age (21), Scary. We talk to hundreds of different people a week from many different walks of life. I can tell you without a doubt. Sin ruins live. Alcohol, Drugs, and immorality are the worst. I have seen examples how some if not all of the three of those habits have led to violence in various ways. It’s really sad. The gospel and obedience to the commandments and laws of God saves and repairs lives. There is hope in this world. It is only in and through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Atonement is the only way to heal the wounds caused by sin. I've learned so much more about how to use it in my own life as I’ve been faced with various challenges. It works faster than any other remedy in this world.
