The Lord Answered My Prayers

The comments and or translations in bold blue italics are made by Lauren's mom.

Ha! It was fun to read Dansells email this week looks like we're experiencing the exact same weather as they have... the oh so fun sub zero degree weather. New Mexico wasn't very prepared for it, we got a notice on our door the other day that over 25,000 residence of New Mexico are out of gas and electricity due to the fact that everyone's been cranking up the heat in this weather. We were asked to turn our thermostat down ten degrees or so and the branch and stake president here were hard at work making sure everyone would be taken care of in the cold with electric heat and such. We have been so incredibly blessed.

Some of the thing's I’ve prayed for on the mission:
The mission is one HUGE blessing. A member took us shopping for groceries the other day at Sam's club and spent $200.00 on us! We're going to share with the Elders for sure, it was SUCH an answer to my prayers. I've felt very humbled this last month especially as Heavenly Father has answered some of my smallest and most insignificant prayers. It's become somewhat of a joke in our district, it's so ridiculous. They Elders were all putting in prayer requests after district meeting last week... HA! Like you can't pray yourself! God ANSWERS every prayer. Sometimes we just aren't looking for how.
  1. Milk and bread earlier this month (we have never before received perishable food from the ward). The following Sunday we received TONS of perishable food, milk, bread, and eggs included.
  2. A world map.... don't ask. You know me... Ha! that one made my companion laugh. The church library has been clearing out tons of their old stuff so last week guess what we found on the free table?!?!?! A map from 1979.... SO funny. The world wasn't true in the 1970's.... the Berlin wall was still up. That map is awesome and I’m so grateful for it.
  3. Healthy food. Sister Mcluggage took us to Sam's this week and bought us a TON from all of the food groups! She even bought us shrimp! and soy milk cause Hermana Jardine is lactose intolerant. you know if those pills are cheap I’m going to get them for her cause she won't buy them... she's just as cheap as I am. if you won't die without it why buy it? ah.... best companionship.... EVER!!!!! Except for the MTC they were the best too.
  4. Not to have to pay for laundry anymore- Sister Rockwood has offered her home for us to do laundry at.... so those are just my ridiculous prayers. I can't even begin to list all of the sincere ones pertaining to missionary work that have been answered we have been so blessed to be able to work as instruments in the Lord's hands assisting in this GREAT work.
Bundling up in our room, brrRR!
Hermana Jardine wearing her Guatamala shirt.
Their version of "WHATEVER". HA, HA!
ESTRELLA IS GETTING BAPTIZED ON THE 20th!!!!! OH MY WORD I AM SO HAPPY FOR HER! She is such an incredible example to her family, she talked to us about being a little nervous, and wanting to wait till the rest of her family was ready but decided to stick with that date. Its so-o-o cool being able to help see the change this gospel has on the lives of our brothers and sisters around the world and its AWESOME to be able to help teach them how to put the puzzle pieces of this gospel together. Her sister Bianca might get baptized on the 20th too. Please pray for them, for our branch, for our other friends and family here learning about the gospel that they will be protected from the temptations of the adversary.

This church is true, Keep opening your mouths and sharing it with others! I love and pray for you all!

Love Hermana Perez
