The Crayon Throwing Demon

The comments and or translations in bold, blue, italics are from Lauren's mom.
I'm so happy for all the joy you all are experiencing in your lives. The Lord really does bless us. I pray for you all on a daily basis and I am so happy to hear you are all happy, healthy, and safe for the most part.

My companion's time is winding down. She's awesome, a hard worker. We have seen many miracles together and we are growing a lot. We set another baptismal date with the son of another less active family. His name is AJ Miranda and he is 9 years old. We're going to try to set dates with a few of our other investigators this week which I’m excited for. They're closing down our apartment, so that's been super busy. We've been trying to get stuff cleaned up and packed up and stuff. Yay! I really, really hope they keep sisters in this area and that I will have the privilege of teaching at least some of our investigators next transfer. I seriously love these kids. Its a blast to teach them.
The dogs travel the streets in packs.

Family in the Ward while babysitting.
Did I tell you there are probably a thousand dogs around here. Way funny. They travel in packs of three or four. Oh, and a lot of people keep dishes in there oven. That was kinda funny too at first, until I started doing the same thing because I realized how much sense it makes.

Did I tell you about the crayon throwing demon? Oh man crazy one and a half year old little man that had his own idea of how the lesson should go which included throwing crayons at us. We found them when we were trying to find a less active family. We haven't seen her in about a week. She's Catholic and going to hair school. Her son is way cute and way crazy. She seemed to really like what we were teaching.

We were trying to find a less active family and found this super sweet elderly couple. Their family has been tried and tested so much. Guadalupe had a colonoscopy last year and the doctor decided to tape her up instead of sewing her up right, so she's been healing from the outside in and it's really been infected. Fortunately, her granddaughter and daughter are home health nurses and take care of her. Her granddaughter lives in Juarez and has a lot on her plate. Her daughter had back surgery and now scar tissue build up, caused by lifting her mom so much, is pinching a sciatic nerve. We are going to her house to help her clean, I think this week.

We helped work on digging out the foundation for our ward mission leader's house. That's when I had menudo. Ha, menudo, not too bad. I probably won't make it for you...... maybe I will make it for you all.....ooooooo yeah! (Gross! That soup has bone marrow and pig intestines in it. I didn't touch it as a child and I am not going to start now).

YAY!!!! Aunt Lainie and Uncle Kendall are trying to have another baby.... YAY!!! What if Lex and Blackfoot have a baby around the same time?!?! That would be sweet. Ha, Lex, I bet she'll have one in the oven within the next 5 months.

Great week lots of miracles. Amazing conference. I love you all and pray for you daily. Stay close to our Savior.

I LOVE YOU!!
Hermana Perez
