A Mother And Her Son Are Getting Baptized This Saturday!!!!

So-o-o...I'm really bad at keeping you updated on stuff...We had a conference with Elder Quentin L. Cook last week. We thought it would be Elder Holland, but we were informed the day before the conference that Elder Cook would be coming instead. Something about how Elder Holland had just returned home from the Middle East and I guess a trip like that is tiring or something? Ha! They are so incredibly busy our General Authorities. They truly live their life’s in the service of the Lord. We felt very humbled and happy to be at the feet of Elder Cook and receive instruction from him. He spoke of the necessity of teaching dispensations and the restoration. Elder Costa and a presiding bishop were there and gave a few words to us. They are such intelligent and spiritually grounded men. What an awesome experience! I'm not going to lie, I was almost as excited to see Hermana Jardine again as I was to meet Elder Cook. We totally cried. What babies! Ha, ha! She is SO INCREDIBLE! She was training another greeny last transfer who had SEVERE depression problems and had to go home, which really really drained her. Apparently she asked President if I could be transferred back to Santa Fe, but President said it wasn't time for us to serve together yet, and that the Lord had other things in mind.
Elder Quentin L. Cook

He moved one of the most BOMB English sisters in the world to Santa Fe. She's the Tongan sister we went on exchanges with during my second transfer, she's from Portland too! Sister Eteaki is an AMAZING sister, seriously President was inspired to put them together again. Her dad passed away while her sister was on her mission. When we were with them she helped Sister Jardine so much with the difficulties that have come from her dad having cancer. They seem to be on a upward climb. PLEASE keep them in you're prayers. They are amazing missionaries that have certainly had more than their fair share of trials while serving the Lord.

Hermana Gomez and I are doing great! We are such incredible friends and have grown so much this transfer already. We really hope to be able to be together for awhile. We played sports at Sumac yesterday, AWESOME! Soccer is my new found favorite sport. Its amazing because all of us are pretty much at the same fat missionary, eating grease five meals a day, out of shape skill level so-o-o I cannot only play, but I actually feel half way decent when playing. My companion and I started doing suicides every morning in our back yard. YEAH! In no time we'll rock at the soccer thing. We eat pretty healthy when we're in charge of what we eat so that's awesome. I LOVE HERMANA GOMEZ!!!

Jacqueline and Bruce, a mother and son, are getting baptized this Saturday!!!! Yeah! They are amazing people. They are both some of the best people you could ever meet. It has been an honor discussing the gospel with them and helping them continue to strengthen their testimony.

Dad~
Dad, thanks so much, seriously not tmi with the ptsd. Its way helpful! I’ll probably have a ton of questions. You're awesome dad!

You don't have to edit my emails. Don't worry about it, for reals. (I'm sorry, but I'm too OCD not to correct her spelling.) YES, I did get the emails of pictures and they were lovely! Thanks so much! I got the flash drive and SD cards. I'll try to be better about taking pics.
Cascarones in Spanish,
Confettie Eggs in English
I got the Easter package Saturday, before Easter. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Always with the amazing candy, LOVE IT! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We ate dinner on Easter at a member's home, they're awesome! We had a confetti egg fight. It was just like at home! Ha, mom you're so Mexican. That's such a Mexican tradition. They actually sell cartons of colored egg shells filled with confetti here. It's bomb. Okay, for reals though, I love the hispanic upbringing I've had and I was completely ignorant of it until I arrived here. I LOVE YOU MOMMA!!!

Brenden & Krysten~
Lil' Krys and Brend!!!! I MISS YOU TONS AND TONS!!! I'm still waiting to hear how y'all liked the wedding (She's becoming a Texan, she said "Y'all" for the 2nd time). Keep CT-ing the Right! I love ya!

AUNTIE LAINIE AND UNTUL KENDALL!!!!!~
CONGRATULATIONS YA, YAYAYAYYAYAYAYAY! I'm so, so, so excited for y'all!!! DECEMBER BABY.... oooooh yay! Awesome about grandma and grandpa going through the temple May 21st. That is such incredible news. I am so excited!

Family~
I heard from Elle Hamson and I seriously almost cried. She's so awesome! She's such a strength to me. AND is SO encouraging. Keep Elle in your prayers too, she's hoping to get a scholarship for an internship to the middle east this summer. She seriously is awesome!

I’m so, so, so, so excited that Lexie and Blackfoot's reception in Idaho was bomb. Aw da littowl duckies! Send them to me. Maybe not. We'd probably eat them. It's not weird to do that over here...okay. (There were baby ducks at Michael & Lexies Idaho reception.) I LOVE that they had a roasted pig at Blackfoot's reception. Mom, I want one of those roasted pigs at my reception. (Michael Packer, see what you have started.) You don't have to worry about planning my reception though. I’ll take care of it....he, he, he, he. In like another twenty years. Ja, ja, ja, ja, ja, that’s how you say ha,ha,ha, ha in Spanish. Ja, so yeah....

The church is TRUE. Christ's sacrifice has made it possible for all of us to become clean as we use the Atonement in our lives. I am so grateful for our older brother. For his example to us and his love for us.Take care!

Love,
Hermana Perez
PS I'll have to print out your emails so I can read them all, we've got a way busy day ahead!
