We Helped A Family Vaccum And Squish Ants For About Before Our Lesson

The comments and or translations in bold, blue, italics are from Lauren's mom.
I LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! El Paso and I couldn't be happier with my companion. It's like being with Hermana Jardine. It's awesome! Hermana Gomez is from San Francisco, California... or San Diego...I don't remember. And she already speaks Spanish super well. I’ve seen a way dramatic improvement in my Spanish skills already. It's awesome!

We write our letters and emails on Tuesdays now since the library here is closed on Mondays. The Elders in our district are awesome! All four of them share an apartment. They seem super hard working and diligent. I'm so excited for this transfer! WE LIVE IN A HOUSE.... two sisters in a three bedroom two bathroom house. It's a little ridiculous. At first I was like, say what?! Why don't the Elders get this? There are four of them!, but....it's awesome! So, I didn't complain.

I've slowly been cleaning the heck out of it. Every apartment I’m in has collected TONS of junk. Within the first week of being there we've got a decent Goodwill Industries pile going. Apparently I’m good at organizing. Hermana Gomez says I should make a profession out of it. I've never had that compliment before.

I got a call from the Elders in my last area today. I think they're taking good care of the investigators. The Elders will call to ask questions about them and won't give me any information on how they're doing except for a sarcastic, "You are never going to see that person again." Boooyyysss.

We played sports with the zone yesterday which was awesome! We went all out in soccer and I’m a little sore today. It was way fun though.

We went to Hermana Martinez house last night. A less active family whose son we're teaching. They were freaking out about a ton of ants that got into the house so we helped them vacuum and squish ants for about an hour before our lesson. It will forever be known as La Noche de Hogar: Una Batalla Con Las Ormegas!” (Translation: Family Home Evening: Battle With The Ants!) We have awesome investigators here. Hermanas Cabello and Gomez really worked hard here.

I loved reading your experiences about the pre-wedding drama. I'm so happy it came together so well. I love you so, so, so much and I am so happy for Lexie and the family. You are AWESOME!

Thanks for giving me so many details! It seems like you were really able to enjoy the sealing and reception which is awesome! What a blessing that they sewed those panels. INCREDIBLE WOMEN IN OUR WARD! Ha, don't worry about the long emails. I loved them. You're awesome mommy mom. I love you!

I made a funny Spanish blunder. For whatever reason I have said "tampoco  (translation: me neither) a few times instead of saying tambien (translation: me too). Thankfully my companion has corrected me so I’m now actually agreeing with people instead of awkwardly saying, "I don't either."

LOVES!,
HNA LARS
